Alan's Story
Life
I'm divorced. I currently drive a tanker, for RelaDyne LLC, in Grove City, OH. Our regional offices are in Cincinnati. I love what I do.
I dearly love the outdoors, and I spend a lot of time camping year-round in my spare time. I have a small collection of very nice handguns, and do a little gunsmithing. I completed a course in June 2005. I practice outdoor survival skills, and tactical training. I love my motorcycles. A Yamaha Road Star Midnight Silverado, and a Yamaha Royal Star Venture., I did 6 years in the Navy, and was Honorably discharged (1978-1984). Had a fantastic time. I'll tell you more if you want--all my contact info is listed on this site. Just in case you're wondering, I'm still in close contact with Ron Forbes. He lives in Spartanburg,SC now. We still talk frequently, and he makes trips to Ohio 2 or 3 times a year. Hope your life has been as great as mine.
School
A quick overview...
My biggest crush? All of you girls!
Favorite teacher...Mr. Frasure. I always enjoyed his classes, especially Sociology. Don't know why... Or, was it Mr. Queen? Hahaha
Memories...lots of them. I had a lot of fun in school. I'm glad I went to school when I did, and where I did.
College

t wasn't the typical "college experience". I did well, and learned a lot about my trade. I didn't spend more money than I'll ever make trying to pay for it....
Workplace
I went into the Navy for 6 years (1978-1984) after school. Had the time of my life, saw a lot of the world, and got paid for it! I went to Main Propulsion Engineering School, and became an Engineman. Worked as a prison guard (Corrections Officer) at the Ohio Penitentiary in Columbus, until it closed, then transferred to the Orient Correctional Facility. I've been a truck driver since 1987. Suits me well.
Military
As I said before, I spent 6 years in the Navy (1978-1984). I really enjoyed it, and should have retired from it. Hind-sight is 20/20... I went to Main Propulsion Engineering School, and became a main propulsion Engineman. Traveled to several different countries. I was stationed on the USS John A. Moore (FFG-19), in San Diego,CA. The ship I was on has been de-commissioned and sold to the Turkish Navy. Makes me start to feel my age. I was Honorably Discharged at the rank of E-5. It was a great experience. Never saw combat, but was sent to the Mediterranean during the hostage crisis when Carter and Reagan were changing office. I enjoyed Japan the most.
