Alan's Story
Life
After High School attended a 2 year technical college then in 1963 joined the Navy. Served 4 years in Navy attached to a small group that set up shore stations for survey and cable laying ships. Went to Barbados, Antigua Puerto Rico, Key West, Fla, 2 months on Wake Island and 3 months in Greece. Spent 3 days in Athens waiting for military transport to Rota, Spain and 11 days there waiting for a charter flight to the States. Worked for IBM from 1967 to 1983. Curren...Expand for more
tly work for a company out of Houston and am responsible for all computer hardware in car dealerships sold by this company. Retired after 29 years. Have lived in Richmond, Va since 1967. Was married in 1964 and still am to the same wonderful girl I met in Wisconsin. I have 3 children and 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Oldest son joined the Navy and was in the Sub Service for 15 years. I had the pleasure of going on a Dependents Cruise on a fast attack boat.
