Alan's Story
Life
Since Peobody I spent the next 5 years at Kent State University. Then I went out to California for 7 months to work in an AmeriCorps Program and then to Michigan. Both trips to CA and MI was in an effort to catch my true love and after 2 cross country trips she became my wife and we have 4 kids (2 of each). In 2000 we moved from the Detroit Metro Area to the Cleveland Metro Area for a new job. However I do fly a Steelers Flag on my house in Browns Country! When are we having a Reunion?

Military
I never joined the military and never would as a contientious objector. However, I did serve my country through AmeriCorps. I worked on several projects in the San Francisco Bay Area to clean up local water ways and to form local community groups for each project to carry on the work that was started.
I recommend AmeriCorps to anyone that wants to serve their country but doesn't think that killing other humans from other nations to be honorable.
