Alan's Story
Life
It seems like yesterday but 1968 it isn't. I've been married to my college sweetheart Charmayne for 40 yrs. We have 3 Super children Jeremy , Alanna and Allyson .
Life has been very rewarding and thank God for what we have. Although there has been many trials and tribulations our focus now is on retirement and spending more time with the family and to travel at our leisure.
I have been employed by DTE Energy for the past 30 years and currently the Chairperson of the Office, Professional and Technical Division of Local 223 Utility Workers Union Of America AFl-CIO.
I represent approximately 800 members throughout the state of Michigan including 1968 classmate Bill Ketchum. My life long best friend and 1968 classmate Maroun Hakim remains a strong influence as his success has been predicated by his hard work and perseverance. Maroun is also Godfather to our daughter Alanna and his wife Lidy and Daughter Alyia and sons Peter and David our like our extended family.

go-Jeremy has a Bachelor Of Science Degree from Ferris State University in Applied Speech Communication and a Masters Degree from Michigan State University in Organizational Communications and Development. He recently became engaged to Mindy Frakes our beautiful future daughter-in-law.
Our daughter Alanna has a Bachelors of Science Degree from Rochester College in Early Childhood Development, a Masters Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix, She is presently pursuing her Doctorate in Education from the University of Michigan.
Our daughter Allyson is a graduate of Wayne State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Relations. Allyson and Matt her husband have blessed our family with our grandson Vincent and granddaughter Anna whose vibrancy makes everyday enjoyable.
The person I truly owe my success to is my lovely wife Charmayne who has put up with me for the past 40 yrs. She has not only been a great mother, grandmother, provider, friend, counselor and very understanding but truly the love of my life. Charmayne has worked in the optical field for 30 years as an Optican.
