Alan's Story
Life
I was born in Redding Ca. went to Rocky Point Elem. School 1st and 2nd grades then moved to Buckeye Elem. School, where I went through 5th grade. After my mother died we moved to Lake Tahoe NV. I went all of 6th grade at Zephyr Cove Elem. and part of 7th grade at Geo. Whittel. Then moved to Carson City, NV. Attended 7th and most of 8th grade at Carson City Middle School. Moved again to Gardnerville NV where I finished High School. After high school I went into the Air force. I did two four year tours in the Philippines with a two year brake at Malmstrom AFB Montana. We lived for two years in Great Falls, Montana. I went to work for Loral Aerospace in Harrogate England and stayed eight years, some of it was Civil Service. We moved to ...Expand for more
Aviano Italy for about a year which was the absolute pits! We moved back to Florida, then back to England then to Sapporo Japan in a two year period AARRGGG!. We stayed in Japan four years. We lived on the economy and had a company translator to help out. That was the best place I have ever been and would like to go back. My youngest son went for two years to a Japanese school. Then we moved back to Pace Florida where we are now, 2005 - 2007. I have gone to work in Afghanistan as a contractor, money is good, incoming rockets are not good!
My wife is from the Philippines, now married 27 years, 3 boys Raymond, Richard and Ryan.
2015....left Afghanistan and now working in Korea. Will return home this summer, I am done with being overseas.
