Alan's Story
Life
Left Carlmont in 1958 and moved back to Palo Alto. Attended Paly for six horrible weeks and then dropped out. (I wasn't ready for high school and it sure wasn't ready for me.)
Enlisted in the Marine Corps on my 17th birthday in 1959. San Diego, Camp Pendleton, El Toro Marine Air Station, Hq USMC in Washington, D.C., American Embassy in Oslo, Norway, Quantico, VA, sea duty on USS Long Beach and USS Wasp, Second Marine Division, Camp LeJeune, NC. Honorably discharged as a corporal in 1963.

Moved to Copenhagen in 1966 for school and language familiarization.
Married to a Danish girl in Copenhagen in 1968. Spent five wonderful years working in a stereo and record store.
My mother died in 1973 and Inge and I returned to Los Altos. After 5 years, we decided to move to Seattle and we're still here. Two children; Kenneth is a grad student at Stanford, Jeffrey is partially disabled but is working on a degree in music technology.
