Alan's Story
Life
I joined the military right after graduation and saw the world during 10 years in. I spent time in Africa, Asia, the Middle-East, Australia, New Zealand, and many islands of the South Pacific. I lived in Hawaii for a year followed by Southern California for 4 years where I met my first wife. After finding our way to Massachusetts via Tennessee, we split after 9 years and no children. In the meantime I graduated from Northeastern University in Boston with a degree in Management Information Systems. I've worked in the computer services field ever since, including 4 years traveling the US and Europe as a consultant. I remarried in 1994 and have 3 children - 2 girls (Samantha and Abby) and a boy (Charlie). I was elected to the local Board of Education here in ...Expand for more
Massachusetts (they call them School Committees)in 1999 and served for 7 years. I separated from my wife in November of 2005 and we divorced in 2007.
Now it is January 2009 and I am just back from my honeymoon in the Caribbean, living in my wife Denise's home, with my kids on the weekends and some weeknights. I now work for a software company outside of Boston. I met Denise 2 years ago. It is just too damned funny to contemplate, but considering what/who I was in high school, NOW after all these years I am going to marry someone who was the Captain of Cheerleaders and the Prom Queen! Life is a funny, funny thing! And to top it all off, she is drop dead gorgeous! Who would have ever thought that my life would have ever turned out the way it has. Certainly not I!
