Ted's Story
A few highlights:
Graduated June 1973, that November I went to California and went back to Marcellus in August of 1974 and went back to work at the Martisco Bean Mill. In January of 1975 Jerry Bednarski (RIP my friend) and I went back to California. About a year later Jerry went back to Marcellus, I stayed. In 1977 after a period of homelessness I joined the US Marines on July 1, 1977.
I was Honorably Discharged from the Marines in August 1983, moved back to central NY and started working for Spadotto Construction. Was laid off that winter, got a job selling siding, then selling cars. In August of 1986 I enrolled in an Equestrian School in West Virginia for Equine Management. Sold everything I had to go there and three months later the school went bankrupt, I lost everything. With the help of friends I met at school, my horse and I ended up in Tallahassee, Florida. Worked all kinds of jobs, running a horse farm, working for an Equine Veterinarian, shucking oysters, etc.

cided to get a degree, so I started making plans and in August I enrolled to get a Business Management Information Systems degree and graduated in December 1998 from Florida State University. I had my first job lined up before graduation working right there in Tallahassee! After working at a couple of places I got an offer for a contract position at Kennedy Space Center where I worked for 12 years. Next, I took a couple of contract positions and then started working for Deloitte in 2016 and retired in December 2021.
During the years I have had several fishing boats for some big time offshore fishing. I have traveled some, the big trips were two to The Philippines, beautiful country! Last year I went to Roatan for 3 months for scuba diving and I am going back this April 2023 for another 3 months. In August of 2023 I will be going to Portugal and Spain. The main reason for this trip is for an English Immersion program in Spain, something my sister Ginger has done several times and loves it.
