Moved back to SD in 84, went back to work teaching 1st grade. Sold everything we owned and moved to Argentina in 90, kids attended and I taught K in the American School of Buenos Aires.
Returned to US in 91, settled in Charlottesville, VA. Taught 2nd grade for 5 years, then went to work at the University of Virginia Spanish department for 5 years.

where I worked for 10 years (finished there as Director of the Lower School).
School closed due to financial problems, became a consultant helping charter schools develop their early childhood and/or bilingual programs.
Just took a long-term teaching position in a bilingual charter school's 5th grade to see if I like it, as decided the consulting life is not for me- I need to belong to a community.
Daughter getting married in February '10, lives here and see her often. Son lives in Philadelphia with his fiancee, no decision on wedding yet. No grandkids yet.
My mom lives with us but spends a lot of time in Mexicali, where I've visited a couple of time in the last 3 years.
Love some aspects of D.C., but really wanting to get out to the country or retirement in Mexico or Taos, New Mexico, my newest favorite place on earth.
