Alex's Story
Life
After Memorial, I attended the University of Pennsylvania, where I received a BA in English, minor in Urban Studies. After Penn, I attended UT School of Law in Austin--I loved Austin, made good friend, but didn't really care for law. I made decent grades (Honors in Contracts, Ethics, First Amendment & Law Review).
After law school, I returned to San Antonio, began practicing law and teaching as an Adjunct Professor at University of Texas at San Antonio, in the English Department. I practiced law from 1982 - 1998, and taught at UTSA for 15, University of Incarnate Word a couple of years, Northwest Vista College a couple of years. I was married in 1983, to Barbara Fishman, who I met at Penn; we divorced in 2000. We have three sons: Alex Coy IV , Louis Coy and Adam Coy.
Since leaving the practice of law, I have taught at UTSA, NW Vista College and George I. Sanchez Charter H. S; I did corporate training at West Telemarketing Corp. I have also done consulting work for former law clients, marketing their companies and doing contract negotiations for a national security company and some real estate development firms. I work as an independent contractor with several attorneys in contracts, wills & estates, real estate transactions, business organization and some civil litigation.
