I was supervising a crew of 3-5 personnel depending on the mission. In addition I was the engineering representative during 4 month/ $2,500,000 shipyard in Cairns Australia. Later I supervised frame up rebuilding of all 4 Caterpillar 398 Main Engines.

Chief Engineer on 180", 465 gross ton, 2-4,000hp vessels. Various engines on offshore supply vessels working in the Gulf of Mexico under contract to Shell Exploration. Transport supplies, fuel, water, drill mud and personnel to and from oil platforms. Also worked as Chief Engineer/Chief Mate on a 135âcrew boat during a delivery trip from Morgan City, LA. to Makai, Brazil with a 2-week layover in Fortaleza, Brazil for repairs.

Chief Engineer (relief) / 1st. Assistant Engineer / Mate / AB-Seaman, on the Research Vessel Alpha Helix.L.133â, 439 gross tons 800hp.8-645 EMD engine. Worked on the waters of the mid to north Pacific and Arctic Oceans, from Hawaii to the East Siberian Sea. Operated the vessel in support of various scientific research projects including physical, chemical and biological oceanography. Have made 6 stops at Providenya, Siberia, and worked in conjunction with a Russian icebreaker. We worked extensively in the polar ice pack without icebreaker support.
I own and captain a 35 foot commercial longline vessel based out of Homer, Alaska, which is utilized to fish for halibut and rockfish in lower Cook Inlet, Alaska. Before I purchased the vessel in 2007 I worked as captain or engineer/crew on various vessels and was involved in most of the fisheries in Alaska.
