Alexia's Story

Life I am divorced with two children ages 17 and 12. I work for the Metropolitan Police Department in D.C. at the Seventh District. In my spare time I love to sing, shop, bowl, shoot pool and motorcycle ride. I own a time-share in the mountains so every year I go skiing.....my favorite sport. School My biggest high school crush was Marc Dozier!! He never knew it because I never told him. Besides, he always had a girlfriend. I don't think any of the teachers ever inspired me, but I do remember them chastising me when I got pregnant in my senior year. Matter of fact, one of the teachers encouraged me to drop out of school and attend night school so I would not influence any of the other girls to get pregnant. munity College, so I did not have the opportunity to be away at school and live on campus. Workplace I started off working at McDonald's (across from St. Eve's) at sixteen. After having the baby, I worked briefly at a Income Tax company and went to school full time. I was hired by the police department in 1992 and have been there ever since. I started off as a cadet, but now I'm a police officer. While working for the police department,I have worked in various fields like undercover prostitution, narcotics, vice or jump-outs, administrative, public housing, and community policing. I currently work in S.E. as a Master Patrol Officer. I train all of the new recruits that are fresh out of the academy. Military Never did a stint of military. However, the police department is para-military, so I did attend Quantico for a month of training.
