Alice's Story

Life Ohio U.'64 - Lived in Vermont and New Hampshire from '64 to '98 - Taught elementary school with time out for two children, Scott 11/19/66 and Jennifer 11/14/72. I took early retirement and moved to NC, with my second husband, to be near Jennifer and my grandchildren Keegan 8/3/97 and Chloë 4/7/99. Then they were transferred to Oklahoma...Dallas...and San Diego...go figure:0/ They now live in Oak Park, IL where Jennifer is a single mom and senior director of...Expand for more
Ronald McDonald Houses International. In July, Bob and I made another move...this time to Camp Verde, AZ. We love it here, and have felt at home since the day we arrived. Scott, his wife, Wen-ling, daughter, Caitlin, 11/9/02 and son, Declan, 4/12/07 live in Hong Kong. That means I sure do have great places to visit! I traveled in Italy with Scott's family last fall, and Australia in February. Jennifer, Keegan, Chloë and I visited Munich in May. Life is good!

Congratulations to the Brooks Middle School orchestra for bringing home a 1ST PLACE trophy from the competition in St. Louis!! Chloe returned exhausted but happy after a wonderful trip :)

Amigo passed his interview for Camp Bow Wow...and didn't get put in solitary confinement! Yeah!! He has some trust issues. Loved the note on his 'report card' that said : I sniffed other dogs when they weren't looking !
