A childhood memory I'll never forget: I remember owning a body suit whose snaps had broken so I used a safety pin to close it shut. On the playground, the safety pin came loose. It was a very long walk to the girl's restroom. How do I hope my old friends remember me? I don't know...but I hope they do not remember me as the girl who walked funny because of a faulty safety pin. I always wanted to be a cowboy when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a fabulous idea. As it turns out, they were right...but, rebel that I am, I became a baker instead. My first job was at Consumer Opinion Services, where I got paid minimum wage ($3.50?) to call people on the phone and bother them relentlesly... something I now call "drunk dialing" and do for free between the hours of 7 and 10pm. What I remember most about it is smoking non-stop in my little cubicle. This was actually a great experience for me as I was able to learn and perfect 10 key. (Get cancer and die vs becoming proficient at ten key...well...I'm not dead, no longer smoke and still kick ten key butt. You decide.) I've been married since June of 1994. Our hobbies have included dog breeding (Staffordshire Bull Terriers). We stopped breeding when we realized the dogs we bred were much smarter than the humans we chose to raise them...which can be a problem. We still have Staffords...and probably always will.
