"All greatness of character is dependent on individuality. The man who has no other existence than that which he partakes in common with all around him, will never have any other than an existence of mediocrity." -- James F. Cooper "In a world where you can be anything, be yourself." Will trying to have a conversation with a 3 year old: "So, uhh.... what do you like to do for fun? Pokemon? Gotta catch 'em all?" LOL. Little kid just stared at him. "The search for happiness is one of the chief sources of unhappiness." "I like sassy songs." -- Me "Something smells like rolly pollys." -- Me "Not tonight, baby. My foot hurts." -- Me "Are you asleep?!" "Oh! No... I'm just on standby mode." -- Zay & Will "I love two things -- McDonald's and cats." -- ...Expand for more
Me "When you get married, your wife is in control of your money and your balls." "Wait. Define balls." -- Zay & Will "Stay after class if you want to see a cat get neutered." -- Dr. Roeder, monotone Animal Restraint Teacher "Agency means we can go to hell if we really insist." -- Sister Lili Anderson, one of my fave teachers at BYU "There are spiritual volcanoes erupting all around us, everyday." -- Keilani, giving a talk in Sacrament Meeting "We have to document our history or else we'll lose it!" -- Tyler "So what revolutionary person are you, Chad?" "I'm having a hard time trying to decide between JFK and Chuck Norris." -- Brianne and Chad "Now tell me, Allie Anne. It's broken. True or false." -Tyler. Not a question, but a statement "And by (blank) you mean (opposite of blank)." -Chad, Brianne, etc "Wait, how many bedrooms is it?" -Tyler, after his speech about a revolutionary new way to clean apartments "You see, some people are afraid of excellence. Afraid that they will succeed beyond their wildest dreams. A better, more efficient way? Nah, I'll just stick with the old way." -Tyler, discussing Pandy's suspicion of the Cobabe Revolution "I hate church and I hate Jesus!" -Tyler as a child, tired of sitting quiet in church "So the 3 billy goats gruff went back and gathered all their gold, silver, and possessions...and they stomped the hermit to death." -Tyler, with a new LDS/horror version of a classic children's story "Can I keep you?" -Casper (Devin Sawa is HOT!) "My only regret in life is not having another mouth to spew more profanity from." -Chunga (Utah's 101.9 "The End" morning guy) "Since we had nothing to do with our Arrival and usually are not consulted about our Departure, what makes so many of us think we're entitled to so much while we're here?" -Malcolm Forbes".
