Alicia's Story

Life Hi everyone from the graduating class of 1974.I miss the good old days. It's been a real hectic life since high school. I married at the age of 20 and am still married to my love whose name is Lorenzo. We will be celebrating our 33rd anniversary in December. We have three wonderful children and a grandson as well. My oldest daughter is a stay at home mom for now and loving every minute of it. My son is a Day Trader at a firm in White Plains and a waiter and bartender at night in Bronxville. If you eat at Blue Moon you've more than likely been served by him. He's the handsome hazel-eyed waiter/bartender. My youngest daughter is presently enrolled in a Nursing program. I must say my children have done very well for themselves. After having taught at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St. Anthony school I am presently a teacher for the Yonkers Public Schools and even taught Spanish at Yonkers High. It was strange going back into that building after so many years but I have to say it was a very rewarding experience for me. oroughly enjoying it. Teaching is my passion and children are my life! I have run into a few of our teachers from YHS through my children's years at school and through my own employment. It is great to talk to them on a professional level. I have not kept in contact with too many people from our school days. I would like to reconnect and maybe talk to a few of my long lost friends. Well good luck to all and I hope you are all doing well after all these years. Workplace Hi everyone! I have been teaching for 10 years now. I was a teacher at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel school for 3 of those years. I loved it there but always wanted to join the Yonkers public school system. I finally got the opportunity to teach Spanish at my former high school. Yonkers High School was a great working experience for me. I loved the entire working and administrative staff there. Everyone was so helpful and caring. I left there to go teach at an elementary school because that is where I always wanted to be. I am truly enjoying my teaching years. I love the profession I'm in and hope to be there for awhile.
