Alicia's Story
Life
After high school, I moved to Las Vegas and attended UNLV for 4 years. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications in 2002 and began working in Public Relations for MGM MIRAGE Corporation. Our company just merged with Mandalay Resort Group last April and so we now handle PR for 10 Las Vegas Strip properties. It's a lot of work! In June, I finally got promoted to Specialist for Food & Beverage PR, which means that I handle all publicity for our restaurants and their chefs (over 200!). I was married for a very brief period from 2000 - 2002. (Thus, the name change). However, my husband passed away in April of that year. So, I bought a dog and a condo and decided to start my life over. Three years later, I am still single but very content. In September, I sold my condo and am having a house built. I look forward to June when it will be ready for move-in. And, this past Christmas, I got another puppy. So, I'm the proud mama of a 3-year-old and a 12-week old! :) My mom and my sister Tracey both moved to Las Vegas a few years ago and we are all happy to call this amazing city 'home'.
