Allan's Story
Life
I am Allan Baker, Austin High School Class of 1963. I am now in El Paso, Texas with my Wife of 38 years, Cis. My parents and I lived in Indianapolis, Indiana where I attended PS 34, and Kenneth Walker(PS89) and Fall Creek Elementary School. We also lived in Phoenix, Arizona where I attended and graduated from Monte Vista Elementary School; Tucson, Arizona, and El Paso, Texas. In El Paso, I attended and graduated from (1963) Austin High and I was active in ROTC(Drill Team and Color Guard), AZA(Jewish student organization city-wide). At Texas Western I was active in Pershing Rifles and Hillel(Jewish student organization). At the University of Arizona(in Tucson) I was active in Hillel. 349th Mobile Army Hospital(Company Clerk) and the 916th Field Depot(Company Clerk), both of which met at the Patton USAR Center in Maywood/Bell. In San Leandro I was Supply Sgt in the 91st Training Division. I have worked for Montgomery Ward in Huntington Beach, Ca(Department Manager) and for Macy*s in the SF Bay Area(both in the SF store as an Assistant Buyer and the Hillsdale store as a Dept. Mgr). I have been a Sales Rep. for the following companies over the past 32 years--JB Sherr Wholesale Housewares, Simco, Kem Mfg, Polytech, Nexgen, and now Omega Industrial Supply.
