Allan's Story
Life
Since graduating I went to Scottsdale Community College and received a two-year degree in Liberal Arts. Then I moved to Las Vegas where I worked full-time at Boyd Gaming Corporation. They own and operate Casinos over the entire U.S. I work in the benefits department as a Benefit Claims Approver. After three years there I got a new job with USI Administrator doing the same thing I did at Boyd Gaming Corp. Now I have started my own business as a Medical Billing Company. I tried this for six months at which point I decided to go back into the work place because it was not working out. I went to work for Pinnacle Health and stayed there for about 6 months till I became ill. I then went on...Expand for more
a 6 month sabatical in Colorado. I then moved back to Las Vegas whre I am now working for American Group Administrators. I am doing the same thing that I have been doing since leaving high school. In December 2005 I left American Group Administrators on a Medical Leave. I am still ill and will need a Kidney Transplant in the near future. I had to leave because of my illness. I will go back after I receive my new Kidney. I had my Kidney transplant in May of 2006 and it lasted only a year. The disease that caused my kidney failure in my native kidney infected the transplanted kidney. I am now on dialysis and will be on it for sometime as another transplant is not an option for me right now.
