Allan's Story
Life
For a few years I did not have any real plan, so I went to college at U of I in Metallurgy, tried skydiving and anything else that struck my interest. Eventually I moved back to Spokane and got a degree in automotive.
August 9,1986 I married Michelle after only knowing her for five years. The next year I came to know Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Life has only gotten better and better since then. We now have three children with one more on the way. Our oldest, Raven is now 29 and not in our home. The next is Mikayla Baihui, adopted in Nanchang, JiangXi, PRC on October 28, 2002. She is five years old, in kindergarten, scary smart and so beautiful it worries me. Our youngest is Madison Daobai, adopted in Changsha, Hunan, PRC on December 8,2004. She is a precious three year old with such a charming personality and a smile that ...Expand for more
melts the hardest of hearts when she turns it on.
We are in the waiting and planning stage to go back to China for a third time. Our son Fu Sheng Hao, soon to be A.J. Shenghao Wallgren is currently waiting for us in Nanchang, JiangXi. As soon as we get travel approval we will go to China and bring him home. He turned two on January 29.
Some people think we are a little bit touched in the head to want to have small children at our age, but it has been nothing but blessing upon blessing from God. Through the adoption process we now have friends that we keep in touch with all around the world, from Australia to Sweden to China to Florida and at least two dozen other states. We all have adoption from China in common so it is kind of like a very large family. We are active with the local group of FCC, families with children from China.
