Allen's Story
I moved around a lot when I was a kid. Born a 4th generation San Franciscan, I actually only lived in San Francisco for a short time when I was in first grade & then later as a young adult.
Most of the public schools I attended were in northern California (SF Bay Area), but I also went to schools in southern California and Illinois.
I attended trade schools in California and Utah and colleges in California, Illinois and North Carolina.
I spent most of my working years as a graphic arts professional. I was a journey member...Expand for more
of the International & SF Bay Area Typographical unions, specializing in display advertising typography & modifications. I also worked in a number of print shops and newspapers.
In the mid 1980s I began acting in community theatre productions and took up an interest in photography around the same time. Over the years I have been in dozens of stage productions and even appeared as an 'extra' in a couple of feature films.
I have one daughter, who lives in California and I am now retired and living in southern Illinois again.
