Allen's Story
Life
Served 3 years in the Army after HS, then went into the aerospace industry for many years as a model maker and experimental machinist. Took a break from aerospace in 1996 to start an Internet company...the Internet company was very successful and I sold it and bought a 50 year old model making company. So, I'm back in aerospace again where I belong. I have a company that builds custom engineering models, mock-ups and prototypes. I built a high performance aerobatic, experimental airplane (Glasair) for myself. d flying them. I've been flying R/C for about 26 years now and I've gotten pretty darn good at it. My photography is getting better all the time.
My life was turned upside down in October 2002 when my partner of 16 years died of brain cancer ... then after a year of grieving and depression I met someone very special (Mike) in October of 2003 and started dating again ... life is good once again, I'm a very lucky man to have been blessed with love twice in one lifetime!
Update: In Mid-2007 I sold my company and now I'm sort of semi-retired and concentrating on my photography while doing occasional jobs for my old company as a consultant.
