Allene's Story
Life
Im 40 yrsold now, where did the time go...??? Its been 23 years since high school-I offically feel old now.
I have 2 kids, a 22yr old son and a 8yr old girl- I was a Medical Assistant but I went back to school at Concorde to become a Medical biller in Plantation for 4 years. Now Im a full time student again at Empire Beauty School and will be a Cosmetologist in September 2011.,something I love to do hair, facials, color, highlights, and Mani and Pedis.
I still live in Ft. Lauderdale area. If there is anyone who is still around from the class of 1988 stop by and say hello...
My favorite thing to do is have family time with my 2 kids on the weekend. Like going to Lion Country Safari, the mall, flea market, and our favorite place of all Disney.
What I learned from my kids-especially my son, is all the stuff you tried to pull over on your parents-they do the same too you-even though you think you know what they are going to do-you remember-hey I tried that too and understand what you put your parents through.
If I won $100 million, I'd give 50 million of it ...Expand for more
to my mother, then spend the rest on a house, my kids education, donate to a local shelter for abused women and children , and finally take my family on a dream trip to Ireland or A cruise to Alaska.
My current age is 40. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be married forever with 2 kids, a mansion house, sports car, lots of money, and live happily ever after. I was so completely in dreamland.
My best friend would tell you I'm caring, easy to talk to, fun, spontaneous at times but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as eccentric.
I share my home with my mom, son and daughter , which I find strange-feels like Im 16 yrs old again .
In 10 years, I hope to be satisfied with my career and life. I'm going to get there by continuing my education and living each day to the fullest.
My first job was at Movies at Lauderhill, where I got paid $3.35 per hour to sell popcorn and candy. What I remember most about it is getting into the movies for free for me and my friends and counting concession items every night for inventory.
