Allison's Story
Life
After traveling around the country seeking my "dream job", I've come to realize that family is more important to me than chasing a dream which may never come true. I have found happiness back in my home state near my family (but not too close!). I have been running my own business training horses and teaching riding lessons for over 4 years now, and have the support of my wonderful fiance, Nick. We have a house on acreage and are in the process of converting it into an operational horse training facility (small scale). We have 2 horses, and 2 dogs. It keeps us busy!
School
Hmmm, what can I say about my life as a high schooler? Not much! I was shy and kinda nerdy, so to say I'm not the same anymore would be an understatement! Living the small college life sure changed that quick. Even after college my experiences bartending forced me to open up, be assertive, talkative, and confident.

iends, had so much fun, and rode horses everyday to boot! I learned about life, love, responsibility, and that drinking an entire bottle of Quervo is not good for your health! I learned some Italian, went to England and Scotland, rode horses in some pretty tough competitions, and raised some political issues in my college. It was a great four years, and I wouldn't do anything differently!
Workplace
I started my business training horses and teaching lessons in May of 2006. It is going great, as I have some wonderful mentors keeping me on track and continuing learning about starting young horses under saddle and showing them in-hand as babies. I also have a large network of breeders and clients that treat me well! I am continuing my riding education by taking clinics with Pat Kabasa (Spokane), Jeremy Steinberg (Redmond) and Steffen Ajem (German in Sacramento). My main emphasis is in dressage, but I still do some jumping and have some Pony Club students that are actively eventing and show jumping.
