Alvin's Story
Greetings everyone, it's been a very long time since I was dropped off at the Mission in August 1960 as a 3rd grader and watching my parents drive off and thus my jouney living in a boarding school began.
The old dirt basketball court without any net; fresh grown watermelons; the large cottonwood trees; the irrigation canel; the bluffs; the very small basketball gym; Miss Huffman - my 3rd grade teacher; Saturday noon chili beans with crackers; baloney & cheese sandwiches; sunday school; Schoolmates: Benny, Franklin, Lonnie, Clifford, Lorenzo, Pauline, Linda, Donald, Glenna...Expand for more
, Warren, Randy, Loretta, Cheryl, Tony, Wilford, Barry, Jasper, Homer, Paul, Lyman, Andrew, Marvin, Loretta, Irene, Betty, Joann, Leo, Ronald, etc, etc, too many to remember.
5 kids, 10 grandkids later.
Currently a Construction Superintendent for an Air Force Base.
Hobbies: Hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, weight lifting, bowling, art, and volunteer work.
Try to go to church on Sundays
Son & I went through the Boy Scouts, my son reached the rank of Eagle Scout and I reached the Adult Woodbadge.
Happily married and looking forward to retirement one day.
