Amanda's Story
Life
Hi all. Here is my update: After my sister passed in January '06 and 5 months of job interviews (the clerkship was ending in June - oh well), I ended up landing a position with a small law firm in Alexandria, Virginia. So, in May '06, I packed my stuff and moved to the big city. It's pretty fun so far. I am primarily a divorce attorney, but work with other types of civil cases. I also teach group fitness classes (kickboxing and cycling - yes I know that's a shocker), and road bike for fun. I have participated in the MS150 (multiple sclerosis) cycling fundraiser for the last 2 years. I figure that it's for a good cause, it raises a lot of money, and forces me to bike 150 miles in 2 days. My go...Expand for more

College
I spent 7 years at WVU. In undergrad, I majored in International Studies and French. Two majors that do not apply to my job, surprise surprise. Undergrad was fun though. I even had the opportunity to participate in a 6 week study abroad program in France.
Workplace
Like I mentioned in another section, I am working for a small law firm in Alexandria, Virginia (Rich Greenberg Rosenthal & Costle, LLP). There are 7 attorneys at the firm - a nice family atmosphere. Good times.
