Amanda's Story
Well, after HS I went to KU and began my long journey towards my bachelor's degree. I met my wonderful b/f while at work at Wal-Mart (I know, I know, Wal-Mart romance...). We've now been together for almost 4 1/2 years now! He's been my rock, getting me through the best nursing school in Kansas. I just graduated from Baker University's School of Nursing. The same week that I graduated I took my boards and passed by taking the minimum number of questions allowed. I graduated Magna Cum Laude and worked very hard to earn that honor.

don't know why I went into nursing, here's the story. In 2002 my brother and his wife were pregnant with their first child. Normal gestation is 40 weeks (9 months), my nephew was born at 28 weeks (3 months early!) As if to reaffirm my future journey two years later they lost their second child to Amniotic Bands Syndrome - Limb Body Wall Complex. And now, June 2008, I start work at Stormont Vail Regional Medical Center in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit as a Registered Nurse!
Now, my real life begins...
