Amanda's Story
This is a story all about how my life got flipped, turned upside-down....
How amazing that I find myself here, of all places. After 10 years I just thought a reunion might be in the making. Thought I'd look.
After HS I got married and then left for Army Basic Training. I spent time in SC, AZ, Germany, France, Macedonia, Kuwait, FL, and GA.
I have one son who is now eight. He was born early and the Dr's said he would always be (hidden) behind. Ha! Weren't they wrong? He is currently in second grade but goes to reading with the third graders and math with the fourth graders. I am so proud of all he has done.
After I divorced his father life went on. Life went (email) backward, then forward, and then every which way it could.
When I left the military in 2006 I became a contractor to the US government at (frogger) Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio. At the time I was working for General Dyna...Expand for more
mics. I recently took a new job with CACI. I'm still doing the same thing; but for more money.
I met the most wonderful man who became my fishing buddy, then my best friend, then my roommate and now my fiance. We (1226) are still fishing buddies and hope to vacation in Alaska for some real fishing for our honeymoon. We set our wedding date for 01 May 2010.
Not much has changed about me. I still write and read though not as much as I used to. I still love to joke, laugh and have fun just not in the same ways. And when I visit Whitehall, (yahoo) on a regular basis, I can't believe how much it's changed.
My hero was always my Daddy. That hasn't changed either. It still amazes me that he was able to provide so much love and support to our family, he was able to do so much for everyone, and could stay so happy on an eighth grade education. He taught me to live the American Dream... and I did.
