Amanda's Story
In the past two years, my life has been all about change. Change is good for the soul.
In 2006, I changed careers, moved, and got out of a bad 3-year relationship. Shortly afterwards, my stepdad landed in the hospital with a brain aneurysm. He was in a coma for 4 days, had major brain surgery, and it took over 9 months in and out of hospitals, nursing homes, and rehabilitation centers until he recovered. d we were engaged shortly thereafter.
We got married in Westlake Village, CA in September of 2007. Six months later, when we began to discuss our future, he got recruited by a software company in Portland, OR. Soon we were packing our bags and heading off to a new adventure in the Pacific Northwest.
As luck would have it, Jamie had several old friends from San Francisco that had moved to Portland, so we arrived with a built-in network. It made for a smooth transition to a new city. I found a job, we rented a beautiful modern loft on Belmont, and we are enjoying our little life together.
Change is beautiful.
