Amanda's Story
Life
I graduated from Wright State University with a B.A. in psychology in June of 2002. I went straight to Grad School at Xavier University where I received my Master's Degree in Counseling in May of 2004. I just finished my third year as a counselor at Ross High School in Hamilton, Ohio. Having the summers off is definitely a huge perk of the job! I bought a condo in Fairfield in 2006 and am enjoying being on my own (without any help from mom and dad!) for the first time!
School
Northwest was a great place to go to high school. I still keep in touch with a lot of people through friends and family. I wouldn't trade my experiences there for anything. I hope everyone has ended up where they wanted to!
College

ears at Wright State but LOVED my two years at Xavier. They were both great experiences for me - Wright State because I learned a lot about myself and other people. Xavier was the best because I finally found my niche!
Workplace
When I first left high school I worked part time for the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati doing child care, daycamp, swim lessons/camp and many other odd jobs. Upon leaving I worked at The Goddard School for a summer with preschool age kids. After that summer I got a job at Kohl's where I worked mostly full time for the last three years. I left there in July of 2004 upon completion of graduate school and finding my current job as school counselor in the Ross Local School District. I have an office that is all mine!
