Amos's Story

Life Attended Knoxville College for two years. Drafted by the Army in 1967.Joined the Air Force instead. Got out of the Air Force in 1971 and went to work for United Parcel Service. Worked my way up to Operations Manager, retired in 1987. Moved back to Selma in 1988 and joined the Air Force Reserves. Presently serving as the Wing Command Chief...Expand for more
Mastersergeant. Offered a fulltime position by Selma's new Mayor Oct. 26, 2000.Accepted the position and started working for the city full time in November of 2000 as Program Director of the Selma Digital Opportunity AmeriCorps Program, transferred to City’s Planning and Development Office as Community Projects Coordinator in January of 2006.
