Amy's Story
From 1992-1997, I was enrolled as a full time student at UW-Madison, and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Child and Family Studies, in the Teacher Certification Program. In 1996, a year before graduating, I got married. After graduation, I got a teaching job at a preschool on the UW campus, where I ended up working for 9 years. In 1999, I got divorced. Fortunately, we did not have any children.
During college, I worked as a figure skating coach and continue to do so, coaching competitive singles skaters and synchronized skating. I love coaching and my teaching background definitely helps me be a better coach.

er resigning from the preschool, I still continued to coach skating, and became very involved with that job. I was the director of skating for the skating club for 12 years, and coached many wonderful singles skaters and several synchronized teams. I have been very proud of my students' accomplishments including 3 US Figure Skating Regional Champions in the last 2 years, as well as many regional finalists and medalists since 2001.
I have just recently moved to the south Florida area and I am hoping to get involved with the skating community down here.
My interests include traveling, sporting events, concerts, and going to the beach. I am sure that now being gone from Wisconsin, visits home to see family and friends will soon be added to this list!
