Amy's Story
Life
Welcome to Fall; the start of school, crisp weather, and getting back into a routine!
My son, Robbie (Robert Francis Fitzgibbon IV) turned 6 years old on May 13th, and will be a first grader next week. What an exciting time in his young life!
Robbie is such a sociable and fun little guy. He has a great vocabulary, wonderful imagination and such capacity for love and for life. He still shows such tremendous physical abilities and enjoys being active. He is such a sports nut and is involved in soccer again this season. Robbie really loves dancing, singing songs, collecting hotwheels cars and learning about animals.
My daughter, Alyssa Dee (Dee after my late mother Dolores), turned three on May 14th. It is amazing to think this little baby is growing up to be such an independent and bright little girl-starting preschool next month!! She is a feisty one who loves dancing, listening to music, and her baby dolls. Alyssa also fiercely loves her big brother and can hold her own with him. Alyssa feels things very intensely and often passionately, resulting in some butting of the heads, but she always manages to melt our hearts with a smile afterwards.
I am still able to be at home with both of my children and I count my blessings every day. They are a complete joy! I am so very blessed. With Robbie in elementary school and Alyssa starting preschool, I will have more time to devote to myself and the family, as well as being very active in the parent group at Robbie'...Expand for more
s school. I love meeting new people and being an active member of our community.
My husband, Rob (Univ. Of MA-Lowell '92 alum), and I will celebrate our 13th wedding anniversary on November 9th, even though we have been together since February 1989, during our early years at ULowell~College sweethearts! I have know known Rob for half my life... as I celebrated the 40th birthday milestone in January and Rob will turn 40 in September.
Rob is a Director of IT for a company that manufactures cymbals for drumsets. He loves his job and it allows us to eat dinner together as a family each night.
We spend alot of time with our families; Rob's family (his parents, and sister and her family) live in the same town as we do, we have two nephews who are close to Robbie's age. My sister, Sherry (PHS Class of '78) and her husband Gary have two boys, Cody (20) and Logan (almost 18). They live in Maine. My brother, Bobby (PHS Class of '83) lives in Texas with his life partner, Bob. We try to see my family as often as we can. In fact they are all arriving next week for the kids' birthdays. I am very excited!!
Rob and I try make time to see our best friends from ULowell as often as we can; Deb, Greg, Rae, and Glenn- our group has grown to include seven children among the three couples! I also try to keep in touch with my old Pelham, NH friends. Hi to everyone from my hometown!
I would love to hear from fellow alums from any of the schools I have been involved in.
Take care!
~Amy
