Amy's Story
Where to begin....here's the abbreviated version of my story. After high school, I went to Marshall University (in my hometown) and studied Music Education. In December 1999, I graduated from Marshall and went to Golden Gate Seminary in January 2000. I spend 2 years in CA going to seminary and graduated in December 2001.
After seminary I took a position as a campus minister in Worcester, MA at College of the Holy Cross. It was a fantastic two years and I loved my students and my work. dated, we started a church in inner city Boston. After we were married, we pastored the church for five years. During our time in Boston, I went to social work school at Boston University, to gain the tools to work in the inner city. Upon graduation, Aaron and I moved to Washington, D.C. where he took a job at a national Christian non-profit and I worked for a while as a social worker.
Now, I am a stay-at-home mom of our beautiful and fantastic son Elijah who was adopted. He was born on August 30th, 2008 and we took him home from the hospital. He's awesome!
