Amy's Story
Life
Oh, my...where to start? I guess I'll start with life after Manassas, VA. I moved to Myrtle Beach, SC in February of 1986 and went to Calvary Christian School the rest of my Junior High and High School years. After graduation from Calvary, I went to Liberty University and majored in Communication Disorders. After the department was restructured and my major dropped, I took some time from school to figure out what I wanted to do. I worked for two years as a preschool teacher in Myrtle Beach before returning to Liberty to finish my degree. I ended up with a degree in Communications and Child Psychology. to Liberty. We were married for a little over 2 years when I made the difficult decision to separate from him. I never thought I would be going through a divorce as my parents have been married for 34 years. I have learned though that God gives grace and strength through the difficult times. I also teach preschool again in the Myrtle Beach area. I have been working on a book about overcoming abusive relationships and finding the strength to leave them.
**UPDATE**
My divorce is now final and I am excited about what is in store for my life. I am looking forward to returning to school for a Master's degree in Counseling or a degree in Pediatrics Nursing.
