Amy's Story
Life
I married Roger Torbert, class of '89, in 1992. We have two children, a 13 year old son, Alex and a 4 year old daughter, Tulley. We have just relocated back to the Birmingham area after a few years in Durham, NC. I have many fond memories of Corner and my friends.
Workplace
After graduating from Corner, I worked part-time at Nationwide Insurance. After Roger and I married I worked for the Plastic Surgery Department at Norwood Clinic as a receptionist for a few years until Alex was born. When I decided stay-at-home life was...Expand for more
not for me, I then went to work at Faulkner University as a receptionist and then a registrar clerk. While there, I was fortunate enough to have completed my BS degree in Business. After my degree was complete I went to Protective Life Insurance Company where I worked as a licensing representative, licensing analyst and finally as an licensing administrator. A few years ago Roger's career took us to Durham, NC and while in Durham I worked at Duke School as a office manager. Currently, I am the Office Coordinator at Bottenfield Middle School.
