Amy's Story
Life
How do I sum up almost 20 years in one paragraph? After high school, I went to UWM and on to UW-Whitewater to finish my degree in education. I married Scott in 1994 and spent the next five years teaching seventh grade science & social studies and coaching girl's volleyball on the side.
Once my son was born in 1999, I left teaching to stay home. A few years later, in 2002, I had my daughter and knew that my heart was at home with the two of them. This is the first year(2007)that both of my kids are in school full time, so I am beginning to look at getting back into the working world. Although I haven't ruled out going back into teaching, I am still keeping my options open.
I enjoy helping out at the kids' school, being treasurer over our Women's Ministries at my church, playing league volleyball and traveling with my family...anywhere!

ve to catch up with any former classmates. Please don't hesitate to contact me...I'm a sucker for nostalgia!
Military
Although I have never been in the military, my husband is in the Wisconsin Air National Guard. As anyone from a military family can understand, when one member of your family is in the service, the whole family becomes involved in the military.
I just wanted to include this little excerpt to brag on my husband's service to his country. Scott is an Iraqi war veteran. He left for Iraq the day the war began in March of 2003. At that time, having a baby and a toddler at home, sending my husband off to war was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. Through much prayer and support from loved ones, God saw us through and brought Scott home safely.
Be sure to thank any veterans you know. Service to our country is truly a noble sacrifice!
