Amy's Story
Life
I started school at Creive Hall in the Fall of '75.I moved from Nashville the Summer of '77. I moved to Livingston, Tn., and spent 2nd -4th grades there. We then moved to Fairfield Glade, TN, where I spent 5th-10th grade. The winter of my 10th grade year , we moved across town to Lake Tansi, where I lived until I graduated.
After graduating from high school, I attended Tennessee Wesleyan for almost 1 month. I totaled another Prelude, putting me in the hospital for 3 months and then a body cast for 3 more months. (I know ,I know, Crash!) I went to Roane State for 2 years and transfered to Tennessee Tech. I graduated from Tech in May '93. I married William in June '93. Many of you may know Dewilla Hedgecoth, band director, well he is her brother. Taught with Bryan County for a year and decided that high school age was not for me. Worked for Savannah/Chatham School System at the elementary level for 5 years. We had our first child John William,June '96.

2000. I started a Preschool at our church in Sept. 2000. We have finished our 8th year of the preschool. Things are going great.
It feels nice to know that I have accomplished something to make a difference in someone's life. We had 52 students when I left, and they added more classes this year.
I have signed back on with the Savannah-Chatham Co. School System in September 2006. I am working full time at Bloomingdale and it keeps me busy.
It is a Performing Arts Academy. John William is in 7th grade at the Middle School, and in the band playing sax. Rebecca is in 5th grade playing the violin, taking dance, and she wanted to play the clarinet. She can't do all of them, so she has asked me to teach her over the summer, and she will be in the middle school band next year. Lauren is starting the violin in 3rd grade. She is also doing dance. We have decided to take the year off from sports. If grades are good, we will play baseball and softball in the spring. (Of course, swim team in the summer!)
