Amy's Story
Life
Well, my life has changed a lot since high school. After graduating from the University of Iowa and getting married we settled in Wheaton for about five years. There, I adopted two children from Russia and started on my masters degree. I was about finished with my degree when we moved here, to Ohio. I commuted to NIU for a semester and finished it about six years ago. Now I live in a little town famous for antiques called Waynesville. It is just north of Cincinnati. It's a little strange to move from the suburbs out here where I have cows for neighbors and my husband, who is from Naperville, seems to appear quite comfortable riding his new John Deere tractor.

tae kwon do and now, three evenings a week can be found in the do jang teaching classes and training. I know, the girl who hated PE and all things active is now known for gold medals in sparring and breaking pine boards with her bare hands! My children and husband are black belts too so we all are busy with that. As if our lives were not full enough, in Nov of 06 we adopted our third child, little Zachary. He is now 20 mos old (5/07). Our other children are now 13 and 11 and both are a big help with the baby. Probably the most exciting thing for me lately was that I was asked to be in a commercial. I spent two days filming in March and can now be found in the Cincinnati and Dayton markets several times a day. It was a far cry from Neurosurgery and I enjoyed the break. People who know me now were not surprised, but all of you probably remember the shy fat girl. I guess you could say I got over that. Anyway, I am anxious to see all of you in the fall!
