Amy's Story
Life
I graduated from The University of Houston with a B.M. in music education in 2000. I went on to graduate school in Ohio at Bowling Green State University where I studied conducting, flute performance, ethnomusicology, and music education. I spent some time traveling in grad school in an attempt to figure out what I wanted to do. After all of that, I ended up back here in Texas and (believe it or not) am teaching band in Cedar Hill.

ecting a 5A high school program. My boyfriend, Jimmy, is in California finishing up a PhD in musicology. He travels around the world speaking at conferences and such. He's ready to settle down and find a college job here in Texas.
I spend as much free time as possible playing golf and enjoying the outdoors. Since spending so much time in college on football fields with the marching band, I became OBSESSED with both college and pro ball. If I had a second chance at a career I would go into sports broadcasting.
