Jereme's Story
Life
HMMM,
Attended three different colleges, graduated two of them. If anyone remembers, moved to Schenectady THE DAY AFTER High School graduation...that sucked, but good for dad.
After living, or not living in (away at school) for five years in Schenectady, tried getting a job in Journalsim (Degree). Needless to say, like Troy, Schenectady is not a hotbed of economic opportunity.
Out of the blue, went to a Marine recruiter...boy, was I crazy. Joined the Army instead. Have had various assignments as a Broadcast Engineer and Combat Photographer. Spent 2 yrs. in Denver, 4 Cal., 3 Italy (my favorite), 2 in MD (although a year of that was in Bosnia in '95 when the "shit" was hot) 2 in Germany, 2 1/2 in Texas and now in Korea, and today brings us back to Germany. I have 3 more years in the active service and I can retire. YEAH!!
My beautiful, new (4 Aug. 02) wife, Liza, and I want to live in Italy next.
I h...Expand for more
ave two beautiful boys, Joshua and Jonathon (13 & 12 respectively) from a previous mariage. They live in Phoenix. I see them whenever I can, call them constantly regardless where or what in the world I'm doing, and they are, hands down, the most wonderful, happy, joy-bringing event in my life. Fortunately they look more like their mother.
Everyone remember my mom, math teacher? She and my dad are retired, although themselves traveling about as much as I all over the world. They may be retired, but they truly have a new, shared occupation...travelers.
When the army sent me to Bosnia, they vacationed in Africa. When I had a month and a half photo shoot in Australia, they went to Alaska etc., it goes on like this. Anyway...
So remember all you civilians, think not of your servicemen only when there is a crisis, think of us always...many crises never actually make the TV/newspapers.
Love to all,
Jereme Day
