Ana's Story

Hi everyone, let me see if I can put all these years of living in a few paragraphs. After high school I moved away to go to school lived in San Francisco for a year, which is and always be my favorite city, then moved to LA to graduate. I lived in the Manhattan Beach area for 7 years. LA was different and I did not care much for it, it seems that many people there were trying to be someone else, in some ways it did not seem real, but it was a incredible and fun place to spend my 20's and the true friendships I made can there can never be replaced, 6 of us still get together at least once a year for our annual Palm Spring trip. Since our last reunion I have gotten divorced, and remarried and now am living in Danville, in the east bay, with my husband two dogs, one cat and numerous koi. We got Sequoia when she was 7 weeks old and adopted Breeze in June from a rescue sight in Lake Tahoe, she came from Colorado and we drove to Salt Lake City to pick her up. They are incredible animals and I could not imagine life without them. I can honestly say my life is completely different with them around, and my house is never clean. I have been in the retail business since graduating from college and am currently a store manager for Ann Taylor. As for my family my sister Maria she is still in Santa Rosa she has 3 boys the 2 oldest are in the Marines and her youngest is in high school at Montgomery. My brother Antonio, (everyone knows him as Tony) is now living in Michigan, he is an engineer and will be the...Expand for more
re for another year or so and has 2-year-old triplets. Sam still lives in Santa Rosa has 6 kids went to law school and has his own retrofitting company. Carlos my baby brother lives in Tulare near my parent and has a girl and a boy and is back in school to become a teacher. My parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary are in good health and doing well. I feel pretty blessed to have the life I have had not that it has always been easy, but I feel the experience we live through the good, the bad, the ugly and the incredible mold us and shape us in to who we are today, and as I look back at that the road I have traveled and the choices I have made I can honestly say that I have learned many things some being that regrets should be saved for the things that you do not do instead of the things you do, that forgiveness and most important self forgiveness is the greatest gift you can give yourself, that we are not guaranteed tomorrow so live for today, that the path of least resistance is not always the easiest or safest one to travel and as we go through this journey called life it the people whose lives we touch and those that touch us that make life worth living and if we can honestly say that we touched someones or some creatures life in a positive way everyday that we have made a difference and our life has meaning. Today I feel comfortable in my own skin and like the person I have become and I could not ask for more. I think about many of you often and hope that life has treated you well.
