Life
I was born in Santo Domingo, DR. Lived in Puerto Plata for a couple of years, moved to San Francisco de Macoris and finally to Santo Domingo where I finished highschool at New Horizons School (love it by the way...some of the best years of my life!). Then moved to Mayaguez, PR. Went to college for chemical engineering. Graduated in 1997, got married that same year and moved to Rochester NY the day after the wedding. I have lived in Rochester since, I work for Kodak (love it too!!!) and we have a beautiful house and two wonderful kids (just kidding...they are actually two dogs) but they are wonderful either way! and we just found out not long ago that we are expecting!!! :) Both my husband and I are very excited about the news, we have been wanting to have a baby for a long time and now our dream has finally come true.
School
Let's see...middle school and high school were both at New Horizons and I have got to say those years were great. I started going to school there right after I moved from a very small town and into the capital...WOW!...talk about scary. My classmates made me feel right at home and the teacher...Expand for more
s were great. Of course we always found a way to get into trouble. I will never forget that time when me and a couple of friends got kicked out of science class by our beloved "Ing. Chimica Maria Loreto Cardemil"..."tu, tu, y tu...pa' fuera!". I don't have to say who you are..I am sure you remember!. And how can I ever forget that time the whole class got suspended! ;)
Wonderful memories.
College
College was definitely exciting. I got to move away from home...yeahh!!!. Met lots of really nice people, made some great friends and learned a heck of a lot of science. I have to say the best thing about college was meeting my husband. David was a frat boy back then, tennis varsity team member...and he liked me!...he is definitely the best part of my whole college experience.
Workplace
I have been at Kodak for 7 years. Straight since I got out of college. It's been amazing, I love what I do and I love the people I work with. I work in research and development for Entertainment Imaging (designing movie film) it's suuuuper exciting, demanding and very very challenging. Chemistry is still as high tech as it gets!. I love it.
