Andraea's Story
Life
My daughter Kaitlynne is 8 and enjoying 3rd Grade at SACS in Shakopee. She is the light of my life, the best thing that I have ever done. I am still working on my degree, and have changed from Elementary Education to Business Administration due to time constraints and inability to work full-time and go to a campus full-time for school. I have started back to Normandale Community College one course for now in Cultural Anthropology. I am currently living in Shakopee, and enjoying single life for the time being. I am also getting out there again into the great outdoors with Kaitlynne as my trusty companion, teaching her about Nature and the world is an amazing joy. We had a fire in 2003 and lost everything we owned, and financially I fell into an abyss, but now things have drastically turned around. The past few years haven't been too kind, but as each day is a fresh start - I know that my luck has changed. It is great to finally get back to camping and everything like I used to do, and share it with Kaitlynne.
College

year I kind of found out I could have a social life. I fell in love for the first time, and had my heart broken badly enough that I didn't think I would make it through (okay so I'm still slightly burned by that experience). I met my daughter's father working as a waitress while working at Fort Snelling's Officer's Club, while still going to school and working another job on the side. She was born in July 2000, and I have tried to go back to school off and on without success until NOW. I am finally making the decision to go back, and I have the backing of my current employer and my family (it is great to feel empowered). It will be easier now that Kaitlynne has School too.
Workplace
I have worked in one Customer Service position or another for 13 years now. I recently left working at Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Eagan, as a Service Representative. I've worked at a few larger companies in the Twin Cities area, mainly in call center's or administrative or reception type positions. I am finally getting the chance to go back to school because of my work, and will be working towards becoming either a trainer or manager within the next few years thanks to completing my bachelors degree.
