Andrea's Story
Life
My life is my little twin boys Richard (Ricky) and Kenneth(Kenny). They were born on 8/31/07 and my husband and I are enjoying every minute of them.
College
School had not always been the best part of my life. I managed to spend several long years trying to figure out where I wanted to go on my education path, while attending classes at El Camino College. It wasn't until I migrated to the Bay Area in 1992 to go to Menlo College where I truly began to enjoy attending classes and graduated with a Bachelor's degree, in Psychology, in 1995. Though I have not pursued a Psychology related field, I find that my education there has had a profound influence on how I have conducted myself in the professional world.
Workplace
Well, after college in 1995, I managed to be "sucked" into...Expand for more
the fast paced fun world of high tech companies. After all, I did live in Silicon Valley. Though I did work in the administrative end of things, I had a great time learning about computers, while on the job. Working at companies such as Eagle River Interactive, Silicon Graphics, Intuit, and Egghead.com made me realize how fun and rewarding work can be. On the flip side, being laid off was not as fun. However, I am glad I had the chance to experience working with such great people. I even had the rare opportunity of shaking Jeff Bezos'(CEO of Amazon.com)hand. However, as with most Silicon Valley stories, I got laid off in 2001 and was out of work until moving here to Idaho in 2002. After several temporary positions, I finally found my nitch in records here at Empire Airlines.
