Andrew's Story
Life
After some moving around in Boulder County, I am living in Louisville once again, with my girlfriend. We live in my father's house, since he has moved away and does not want to sell it. My life currently revolves around my work, which I enjoy. I spend most of my spare time reading, listening to music or watching movies. I collect video arcade boards and machines, as well as pinball machines, when I am not fixing them up for resale.
College
After Highschool, I went to Metropolitan State College of Denver to study Computer Science. After a year I decided to transfer to CU Boulder and continue my major there. I spent a year at CU before I was forced to withdraw due to a failing grade in Data-Structures; which placed me on academic probation. At that time I was planning on changing my major to Linguistics, as CS was not for me. rly impossible to raise my GPA enough to stay at CU, so I decided I would not complete college. I took one class at Front Range Community College, Sign Language.
Workplace
I started working at Centrobe/EDS after I withdrew from CU Boulder and worked there for about two years, doing data entry, filing and inventory audits. In 2000 I started working for my father doing cabinetry. After he moved away, I was unemployed for a good deal of the time, though I had the displeasure of working for Playfair Toys in Boulder for about 4 months in 2001. Using money I had saved over the years, I began buying and selling items via the internet, mostly used books at first. This lead to my current work, which is sales and repair of video arcade machines. I try to purchase them when they are not working correctly or in bad condition, then repair and/or restore them prior to sale. I also locate games for collectors and do freelance repair work.
