College
York College of PA - two years 1970 - 1972
Goal was to become a Math major, the algebra course at 8am killed me so I decided to major in English.
However, I did not have enough money to complete a 4 year degree in a boarding college, so, I punted and decided to get an AA degree and return to NYC.
CUNY - City University of New York 1972 - 1975 I was a part-time student for the first year working on Wall street and taking courses at night. I became a full time student and received a BA in English specializing in Secondary Education. Could not beat the tuition - $75 per SEMESTER, and faculty was from Yale, Columbia, Harvard, etc graduates.
Pace University Lubin School of Business - 1976 - 1978 I decided that I did not want to teach, so, I took a job driving horse drawn carriages through Central Park in NYC. I did this part time while I was studying for my MBA in Finance which I received in 1978.
NYUSCPS - NYU School of Continuing and Professional Studies 1992 to present - I take courses here and get certificates relating to Computer Technology. I have a certificate in C, OO Anaylsis and Design and recently have taken UNIX Sh ell Scripting,Linux Administration and Content Management Systems(CMS).
Workplace
My first real job was a store clerk at Associated SuperMarket at Jerome Ave and Kingsbridge Road in the Bronx.
After getting my AS from York College of PA, I was a part time student at CUNY while I held a full time job at the brokerage firm Kidder Peabody and Company in Wall Street I received by BA in English in 1975.
When I decided to go back to college full time to get my MBA, I took a job as a Hanson Cab Driver(Horse Drawn Carriages) in Central Park NYC (the best job that I ever had!)

artment in the late 1970's .
I have remained a computer professional ever since, upgrading my skills along the way from mainframe to pcs to client server and now to web based internet applications.
I have published several articles as well as given many different presentations at various user groups and conferences covering computer technology such as the Microsoft .Net platform.
I have also started programming in the LINUX environment using PYTHON. Most recently I have taught myself PHP and MySQL.
I was President of my own computer consulting company: Carlton Software Solutions, Inc. - on the web at: CarltonSolutions.com from 1999 to 2014. After 15 years of consulting, I have decided that it is time to retire.
At times during this period I worked 3 jobs at once(two clients and teaching at night), so, its time to take it easy for a change.
RVCC - Raritan Valley Community College - 2000 to 2017(currently retired) - I was primarily an Adjunct Professor in the Computer Science Department with a 1 year stint as a full time Instructor. During my tenure I taught 12 courses: XML(my 1st ever), C#.Net, VB.Net, ASP.Net, OO .Net, Advanced ASP.Net , C, C++, JavaScript, Systems Analysis and Design, JAVA programming, and PHP MySQL
I was concentrating my efforts on my high school Carson Long Military Academy by being a Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees as well as Chairman(for a short amount of time) and also supplying a scholarship,
After leaving the Board I continued as Treasurer of the Foundation. I am currently supporting the school website as the school winds down after announcing its closure in 2017.
Military
In the 'lottery for life' at the end of the draft, I was number 360. So, I was never called, and, after spending 4 years in a military school, I was not eager to march and get my hair cut AGAIN.
However, I did almost enlist in the Air Force after getting my MBA, but, I had just missed the cutoff for pilot school(I scored a 98 on the pilot test!), so I changed my mind and started a career in the private sector.
