hello, again. i realize that most people don't care about God or know who he is. when i lived in mass i didn't care at all and if anyone wanted to talk about him i would think they're wierd. all people think of God in different ways. some people think they know him and do his will and some people don't care who he is or what he does and some people claim to not believe he exists. most people know he exists and think he's a mean hatefull vendictive man, but the bible talks about a different God. the God of the bible is totally forgiving, always loving, and always mercifull. God wants everyone to go to heaven but he can't accept anyone who is not as good as him because he can't be near sin or sin cannot be in his presence. anything that is not perfect cannot survive in his presence and since we have all sinned if we were to be near him as a sinner we would be destroyed. what is sin and why am i a sinner? i'm a good person compared to most and i haven't killed anyone so why shouldn't i go to heaven? sin means to miss the mark. to not be perfect. people look at the ten commandments and say i've kept some of the laws so i'm not too bad. well the commandments is not a check list to see how well you do. you have to look at the commandments as parts of a whole. meaning if you've broken one law you've broken all of them, and are a sinner before God. it's a pass/fail thing. if you think you've never sinned you're wrong. ...Expand for more
