Andrew's Story
I've been an ascetic, a performer, a painter, a writer and many other things. I write on a regular basis, compose music on guitar and keyboards (...mostly dabbling in Garage Band on my Mac), am involved in theological and linguistic studies at home (...such as modern and Biblical Hebrew, with a little Aramaic thrown in), and have been taking a course in electricity at a trade school not far from home since the middle of 2007. Though I've acquired a couple of certificates in the class - and, it certainly has been interesting, I've already taken steps to switch my major to the Healthcare field.
I'm intimately involved in matters of family, and was just recently married on June 4, 2009. The present is very good, and the future's looking even better!
I currently reside a couple of miles from the beach in the city of Torrance, CA with my wife, Patty, and we are planning to start a family by the middle of '09.
My former schoolmate and longtime best friend and artistic collaborator, Tom Ferranti, lives a few miles up the road from me in the city of Hawthorne. We have both appeared on stage and on local TV broadcasts. Shortly after high school, I even DJ'd for a while at a popular radio station located in Universal City. I performed a little Shakespeare in college back in the early 00's. That was very cool, too.
Since the TV, stage and radio, I have moonlighted (..."moonlit"?) as a clown for various personal and...Expand for more
corporate occasions; and have, in fact, started my own business in entertainment. It's like being well paid to play games, eat fancy catered food and have fun! The most awesome gig I've done to this point has been for media mogul Haim Saban at his incredibly expansive Beverly Hills digs where mega-personalities like Barbra Streisand showed up with their families. Catherine Bach of the "Dukes Of Hazzard" program was as gorgeous as ever; and, also quite nice to chat with. Wow, what a surprise to be milling about with these guys! It is truly a different world. ...It's actually a little bizarre!
I stay fit by running around for no particular reason. I like goofing around with the kiddies. Nothing's better for my back than to run around like a maniac with my screaming nine-year-old niece on my shoulders. Back's still as strong as ever! Sometimes I ride my bike; but, not too often anymore. I do, however, enthusiastically carve up the road on my beat up three-foot Powell longboard.
I always make a point of supporting organic and "cage-free" agricultural practices. Eat lots of veggies, brown rice and fish. My waistline hasn't increased in the least since high school; and, unpredictably, my hairline hasn't receded as anticipated. Not a single gray hair, either.
That's about it for now. Don't be shy about dropping me a line or signing my guestbook. Just saying "hello" is free and non-committal.
Take care!
