Karen, Kathy, Buster, Terry Lou, Jimmy, Larry, Teresa, Candy, niel, names familiar to you? Cain, Kilgore, Aaron, Smith, were just a few family names that were around back then and still are in our little corner of Alabama. There are a few more but not many. The classes were small back in the day when Mr. Guthrie was Math teacher, History teacher, and Basketball coach. onounced Brook -ee) ? The kid who was always getting his ass paddled for skipping school, goofing off or more memorably bringing and selling pornography at school? Well guess what? I never started a mens magizine but I did graduate colledge and made it in California. Who would have thunk it? Certainly not Mr. Guthrie. You knew me as Andy Durham.
I lived on Russell Dairy Road on Route 7. No one else from Redmill lived close to me except Terry Lou. Anyway, I can't tell you how dissipointed I was to learn that Redmill was long ago torn down. What a loss of local history.
